I had a really interesting dream tonight... I know because when I woke up I was going over it in my mind thinking how interesting it was. Then...got up to brush my teeth...forgot all about it. I'm going to buy a notebook or journal after I move for the dreams.

That pretty much what happens when I wake up as well. *Poof* and all memory of what I just dreamt about vanishes. The last time I dreamt about something, all that I can remember about it is that it involved brown vinegar. Truly weird.
sorry you have nightmares... i have them too, but i call them dreams.... they have to bother/scare you - in my opinion - to be called nightmares... & those kinds of dreams never bother or scare me.
