What do you most hate sharing with other people?
i had to ... $2.98 each. i couldn't pass 'em up.
i love dvd box sets. loooove them. the boxes are nifty to look at, usually come with extra stuffs, are all in one neat & tidy little place, & they usually cost a little less per season then if you'd have bought them separately.

Are You Being Served - one of my favorite tv shows of all time. i love mr. humphries (john inman - r.i.p.)!!!!
friends...good show.
six feet under. i really liked this show. good characters. good story...good substories. box is cool. ^_^
SATC. loved it. love the set. only thing i wish i could change is the plastic case to protect the pink fabric cover of the box. suede like or vellure like (however you spell it). i'm scared the hard plastic case it slips into will over time rub away the fabric. so i'm thinking - later - about buying some pretty material & making my own fabric case for it. it will have to lay down on it's own little shelf or whatever... but it beats ruining the "box" it comes in.
this is my favorite box set as far as how it's packaged. don't get me wrong, i love ALIAS as a show too... but the box is by far the most origional. at least that i've seen. well.... that is until i saw the HP set i'll talk about in a bit.
here it is open. there is a secret compartment in the box with an extras dvd in it. i just love how they made the box.

here is the HP box set i mentioned above. now, i am not going to buy this b/c there has been a movie for ever book. 7 books = 7 movies. this set only has the current 5 films. i'm going to wait for the one with all 7. but it is nifty isn't it?

X-Files. obviously i want this one. i'd about given up on them releasing one. yay!
Family Guy. now, i want to wait until it goes off the air & buy one with all the seasons there will ever be in it. but this one is so cool. lol amazon.com description says it comes with:

QAF. i've been waiting for this one forever. well, not really forever...but a while. =P
Dexter & The L Word. i have season 1 of dexter. seasons 1-3 of the L word. i need to not buy them as they come out since i want the box sets of them all. but i can't help it. lol i'll try to be better & wait for the complete sets that will come out in however many years it will take.
same goes for ER, Frasier, and Will & Grace. Waiting for the final sets. although ER is still on tv isn't it? i don't have cable & can't catch anything on my tv. it's just for the dvd player & game consoles.
i wish they'd release older shows like cheers in full box sets. cheers ran for 11 years. i'd love to have the complete box set! night court was another one that i would love to have. gosh...there are so many!
Show us your DVD collection.
i used to have over 1500 dvds. 90% of them burned (you didn't read that). lots of movies, damn near zero out of pocket, but not pretty to look at. plain dvds with the name scribbled in my chicken scratch in black sharpie. >.< i started burning them to save money mostly, but i *also* didn't have the room to store dvds in the cases in the
hovel,hut,shack, "house" that i lived in with mom on 15th street. didn't want to shell out $10-25 per dvd just to trash the box. so i burned them. anyway, i still have some burned ones, but i've given a lot away to dad. the ones i still have as i buy them i trash 'em - or give them away.in the last 2 years i decided to stop burning them & start buying them again. so, here is my humble collection as of now... may it continue to grow.
here is part of it. the six feet under box set & the two stacks of dvds i don't have shelf room for are on the bed so you can see what's behind them. the red box is the friends box set. the gold box is the alias box set. the little sliver of tall pink on the bottom shelf to the left is my sex and the city box set. oh, i forgot there's another stack of movies behind the stack with kingdom hospital. (same shelf as alias.)
some of my smaller wdcc pieces are on the shelves. along with my "good luck" cats. i don't really believe they give good luck - since my life is kind of sucky at the moment...lol - i just thought they were cute!
